I am so excited to share our new monthly newsletter, which will feature strategies you can use with your clients struggling with addiction. We will also feature relevant articles and news from the addiction and recovery scientific community along with ways to reduce the stigma surrounding addiction.
According to NIDA, 20.4 million individuals in the U.S. were diagnosed with a substance use disorder in 2022. However, only 10.3% of these individuals (approximately 1 in 10) with past year substance use disorder received treatment.
There are many evidence-based strategies available for the treatment of addictions and we all need to disseminate this information to better help our communities in need.
